Hurricane Helene was not just another storm. With its near-record-breaking size, destructive winds, and catastrophic rainfall, it left an unimaginable path of destruction that stretched more than 500 miles inland from the Florida coast.
At least 230 lives have been lost, and countless families remain displaced across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, and Virginia. The storm’s most devastating impacts were far from the coast, as over 20 inches of rainfall turned mountain streams and rivers into deadly torrents. Asheville, North Carolina, and surrounding communities faced historic flooding, compounded by already saturated ground from a previous storm.
Winter is here and safe housing is the most urgent need for many survivors. While some have received RVs and Campers as temporary shelters, these units often come with critical issues: leaky roofs, broken plumbing, leaking propane lines, full black tanks with no way to dump, etc. These conditions make them unsafe for families to use.
How You Can Help:
With your generous donations, we are committed to providing
- Safe and Warm Shelters: Good condition RVs and Campers to ensure families have safe and secure housing.
- Essential RV Equipment: Supplying families with the tools and resources they need, such as water hoses, sewer connections, propane, parts that may be needed for repairs, etc.
- Ongoing Support: RV recipients receive free troubleshooting via email/telephone, to assist with questions or issues that may arise with the provided RV, as they rebuild their lives.
Your Impact:
Every donation brings us closer to giving families the shelter and stability they need to recover. Together, we can ensure no family spends the winter without a warm, safe place to call home.
